Today Apple released a firmware update for the 15 and 17" MacBook Pro. More information is available here so go to your Software Update and grab the update. Apple is documenting that "this helps the fan behaviors when running under high workload conditions" Let us know if you notice any difference after the firmware update has been applied.

Easiest way to Email a Website via Safari

The easiest way we have found in sending over a link to a website is done simply by clicking Command + Shift + I

You can do this on any page your browsing so there is no need to highlight the url, copy and paste etc... a real time saver if your in a hurry.

My Trash will not Empty!!

Here is a quick way to fix those stuck items that will not empty in your Trash.

Press and hold the mouse button on the Trash icon in the Dock. The context menu for Trash will display.
Press and hold the Option key.
Select Empty Trash from the context menu for Trash.
Release the Option key.

Keeping your Mac's Trash clean will free up HD Space so it's a good habit to keep it empty.

Speed up your Internet Browsing Experience

Here is a quick and easy way to speed up your Internet browsing experience without having to pay a dime. It's called Open DNS and with this little add-on in your Network Preferences you might enjoy a boost in speed surfing the web.

Here is a quick way to add this functionality to any Mac.

Go into your System Preferences/Network Settings and click on your current Internet Connection on the left-hand side

Then click the Advanced Tab on the bottom right side of that window and click the add or (+) button at the bottom left corner and add in these 2 servers in no particular order.
